Layers allow you to stack images, shapes, text, etc. If you take 2 pieces of paper and you put one on top of the other and partially cover the bottom piece of paper, that is similar to a layer in Photoshop. As we proceed with this course, we will also explaining how to delete a layer, hide layers or even change the opacity of a layer.
