Pipe 2

|
Here
we go, get ready for a super easy 3d pipe. Create a new window (ctrl+N).
Any size here will do, I chose 5 by 5 inches, bigger for me is always
better.
 |
|

|
First
make a new layer. On that new layer, create a rectangle with the
marquee tool ( )
and then create a black to gray gradient with none other than the gradient
tool ( )
Make sure you begin the gradient at the bottom of the marquee and drag
it to the top of the selected marquee, this is probably the most
important step. !
Use my example to check your progress.

|
Your
basically done. Highlight your layer and then go to Filter, Artistic,
and the choose Cutout. I used 4,4,2, but use what you like! Make the
bar look how you want it to.
note* the numbers may differ with different bar sizes. |
|

|
Now
change your background color to black (this should be the layer we haven't
worked on yet). Thee you have it, a gray 3d bar! If you want you can delete
the black lining around the bar with the marquee tool ( ).
Below is an example of the final product and what could be done with
it.
