Learn how to design abstract background of a halloween pumpkin.

Create a new file (File>New) that would have 1024x768 px and 72 dpi. Select now the Paint Bucket Tool (G) to paint the file in black color.



Choose next step the Ellipse Tool (U) to represent the primary layer reserved for the Halloween pumpkin.



The layer’s parameters (make a mouse’s click on the layer on the layers’ panel).
Fill 0%
Blending Options>Inner Glow



Blending Options>Gradient Overlay



Gradient’s parameters:

 



Make a copy of the new made layer and select the Free Transform option to narrow the copy, placing it the way it is shown below.



Make another copy of the layer and choose again the Free Transform option to narrow the copy too.



Using the same instrument, Ellipse Tool (U), it’s possible to create on the middle part of the pumpkin a highlight.
