step 1
This tutorial requires a version of photoshop wich have the vanishing point feature. I believe it's added in CS2/CS3.
In this tutorial I'm going to explain a technique I used in my Worst-hotel-chop...It's in my album. Basically I've put a razor blade in a bar of soap :)
(Although the end-result here has more details...)
First we take 2 stock images. We need 2 things: a bar of soap and something that we can put it in. In this example we are going to use a razor.
These can be found overhere:
Razor: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/838141
Soap:

(I used automatic colors on the soap image...you can find this through Image,Adjustments, automatic colors or you can press shift+ctrl+B)

step 2
Okay now we want to cut out our razor from it's background. To do this we will NOT use the magic wand tool.
We will use the pentool instead ;)
Once you've created a path arround the razor you can go on to the next step. I've put in some basic pentool info for beginners. This should help to create the path you need :)

step 3
Select your path (in the path tab) and press the "make selection from path" button.
Press ctrl+shift+i to invert you selection and press on delete.

step 4
Next we want to put or object (the razor) in the same perspective as our soap bar.
You can do this with the free-transform tool (ctrl+T, right click the object and select perspective). This requires some insight... Of course photoshop wouldn't be photoshop if it hadn't have somekind of feature to do this in an easy way.
I present to you: Vanishing point.
Select your razor (you can just roughly select it) and press ctrl+x to cut it.
Next start up the vanishing point tool. (filters>vanishing point)Create a fitting grid and press ctrl+c. Your image appears but hey? where's that perspective?
Simply drag your image into the grid and voilla ^^ click on okay.

step 5
Next, resize your object/razor and put it in place.
Then make the razor layer invisible.
What we want to do next is to create a cutting line. It will define where our razor will show up :)
Create a path that follows your bar of soap. Next make a selection from that path.
Make your object/razor visible again and press the delete button.
