Web Hosting

Every webmaster who wants publish their website has to put it on a hosting account, which are provided by hosting companies. Hosting a web site put in layman's terms, is making a website available on the internet.
Technically web hosting involves having a server or servers in a datacenter which provides the servers with high speed connectivity, reliable power, ventilation and technical service. Each datacenter ofcourse provides different services and has differing facilities. The web host mainly focuses on keeping the web server in good running order, making sure all software is up to date and protected against intrusion.

What types of hosting are there

There are many types of hosting out there, the hosting package you need will be determined by your site. Most people start off with a smaller hosting package in terms of hard drive space and bandwidth usage. As your site grows then your hosting package will need to accomodate this.

Also if you use a specific type of programming then you will also need to find a host that meets your needs in that respect. Most people go through the stages of starting off in shared hosting (many sites sharing a server), to a reseller hosting package (normally has more disk space, more bandwith and the ability to create several websites), then to a VPS host (where you have a virtual private server, which behaves like a dedicated server but you are still sharing a server, just with less people), and then on to a dedicated server (where you have the whole server to yourself.

In this tutorial you will learn how to combine Motion, Opacity and Effect tweens in ImageReady.

1. Open up a new document, you can choose whatever size you want, but for this tutorial I did 300x100.

2. Fill the background with whatever you want. It can be a color or an image. I filled it with blue and applied a square pattern.

3. Choose the text tool and type some text in one of the corners of the image. It should now look something like this:

4. Click the "Jump to ImageReady" button on the bottom of the toolbar.

The rest of the steps will be done in ImageReady.

5. Make sure your animation window is open (Window > Open).

6. Now, apply some layer styles to the layer that has text on it. You can do this by clicking the little 'f' on the bottom of the layers window, or by going to Layer > Layer Styles. To change the settings for the layer styles open up your Layer > Layer Options/Style window.
I applied a dropshadow and bevel and emboss. For the best results in the end of the animation, make the layer styles low. For example, I chose a height of 2 for the Bevel and emboss and a distance of 3 for the dropshadow.

7. When You're done applying the layer styles, change the opacity of the layer with the text to something really low. I used 15%.

8. Now, go to your image ready and click the new frame button.

9. With the new frame selected, and the layer with text selected, drag the text to the top corner of the canvas. Once you've done that, change the layer styles applied and make them higher. I used a dropshadow with a distance of 21 and size of 7, and I made the bevel and emboss height 5.

10. Next, hold down the Shift key and click on both of the frames in the Animation window so they are selected.

11. With both of them selected, press the tween buton (user posted image). Here's what your tween window should look like:

Note: You can choose to add more frames if you want.

Your animation window should now look something like this:

12. We're almost done. Choose the first frame, and click the little arrow. This will open up a menu where you can choose the delay between this frame and the next frame. Since this is the first frame, it's best to choose a time that's a little longer than the frames in the middle. I chose 1 second for the first and last frame.

For the middle frames I chose a shorter time, 0.1 seconds.

Once you've chosen a time for all of the frames you can press the play button at the bottom of the Animation window to preview it. After that just go to File > Save Optimized As, and save it as a gif.

Here's what I came up with:

oh, I think I saw something like.. squares representing an easy "meter" on a sig/avatar, I suppose he changed the opacity on the squares to make it look .. cool tongue.gif so say the first square from bottom to top.. was 100%, then next was 66% etc.. 100, 66, 33, 66, 100 I think ? or something.. yeah yeah.. something like that was it smile.gif If you have time you could do that to.. but maybe it isnt so different from this... great tut anyways !

It's not much different, all it is is an opacity tween, like the one demonstrated up there.

I could make one on a more specific effect though.
